Acartha Technology Partners, L.P. (ATP) is a private equity fund that will invest in private technology firms where financial institution technologies and associated financial products are the key market sector. ATP's team brings both breadth and depth of knowledge within all targeted business functions as each member has not only private and public investment experience, but also many years of operating experience in key executive positions.

Team

Doug Morriss, John Wehrle, and Ameet Patel, have created an investment management team that has invested in hundreds of transactions in their combined careers. In addition, the team has a unique depth of knowledge in the technology and operations areas of financial institutions as both buyers and more importantly builders of technology and companies.

Doug Morriss and John Wehrle formed three venture capital funds during 1999, 2000 and 2002, respectively, with combined capital of approximately $150 million, investing in financial institution and enterprise technology opportunities with a combined rate of return of 24.7%.

Joined by Ameet Patel in 2005, the principals focused solely on financial institution technology investments with a fourth fund, MIC VII, LLC (MIC VII). Through MIC VII, the team has invested in 8 companies including EverGrid, Integrien, Tervela and Vantos, all infrastructure technologies with significant financial institution applications, as well as Clearbrook Financial, an asset management platform, and X.Eye, a provider of wealth management software tools to investment managers.
